| Warm, friendly, good food, value for money, and ever so slightly quirky!? - Looking for a tranquil getaway, I found De Stijl not far from the N1, two thirds of the way up from Cape Town to Johannesburg. When I arrived, I thought my HUGE room quirky, with a mish-mash of style! I soon felt welcome, put at ease by a warm, friendly, good natured and good humored staff. The steak fillet was so tasty and well prepared that I ordered the same two nights in a row, accompanied by an excellent house red wine. With spectacular views, tranquil surroundings, good food, and personable staff, I found just what I was looking for. |

| Very clean! Very fresh! Bed was of good quality ensuring a good rest and bed linen did not smell like it has been hidden in a closet. Was such a refreshing stay that we are now planning a stayover on our way to Cape Town for at least two to three nights due to the wonderful stay. |

| Hi Robert! Hoe bedank mens iemand wat so ruimhartig gasheer speel. Om daar by jul pragplek in te loer was vir ons almal SO die moeite werd - DANKIE DANKIE. Dit is tog so verblydend om nog "common decency", omgee vir medemens, trots op jou werk en sommer gewone lekkermensigheid te beleef. Behalwe dat De Stijl ons asem weggeblaas het, was die kuier, kos, gesels, musiek en jou mededeelsaamheid iets wat ons lank sal bybly. Dankie nogmaals! |

| There were 60 plus guests spread across 25 Jabirus and they were treated splendidly by the management and staff of the De Stijl hotel, which is situated on a little koppie with magnificent views of the Gariep Dam. | I was visiting my parents over the Christmas period and was told we were
booked for lunch at your hotel. Having been involved in the catering/entertainment industry for over 30 years the thought of a Christmas buffet conjured images of long queues, cramped restaurant and poor service, not to mention running out of food. I am delighted to say that none of the above applied. The food was superb with a variety befitting exclusive venues anywhere in the country. This was enhanced by excellent service in a spacious and un cramped environment. It was without doubt the most pleasant Christmas lunch I have enjoyed in many years. Well done indeed and may your venture continue to prosper. Thank you very much for a memorable day. |
